Mission
As children’s ministers work to raise the bar in their children’s ministry, our mission is to share resources and information to assist them in reaching their goals.
Remnant Generation
RemGen is short for “Remnant Generation.” The remnant was a generation addressed in the book of Isaiah who loved God and desired to follow after him but generally lacked the fervent, unrelenting, undying devotion to God. But the generation that came after the remnant Isaiah called the “holy seed” generation. The holy seed generation did experience passionate and unwavering faith, trust and love for God. By calling ourselves the “remnant” generation we are not saying our love for God is lacking, but that we are placing our training and resources towards the next generation so that they can make better choices than our generation has. Our resources are for God’s children who are so special and loved by God. We believe that the children within our churches should have access to high quality Bible training. As we at RemGen grow, we hope to continually strive to reach this goal.
RemGen’s Writers
We’d like to think of RemGen as us + you. But for now, since you might be wondering who “us” is, here we go! “Us” at the present moment are Dwayne and Aimee Trawick. We have been married for almost ten years and have served in children’s ministry for eleven years. We’re in our thirty-somethings-ish. Presently, Dwayne and Aimee are the children’s pastors at Walton Boulevard Church of God. We also have two cats: Tanner and Pwaffles.
Dwayne has a Master of Arts in Ministry Studies with a Leadership Emphasis and a Bachelor of Science in Children’s Ministry from Lee University. I (Aimee) have a Master of Science in Holistic Child Development and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Children’s Ministry Minor. We are both currently completing a Storytelling master’s program through East Tennessee State University.
